This section looks at architecture as both a material and ideological structure. We examine how buildings and built environments shape collective identity and document political ideology. We also reconsider the methodological foundations of architectural historiography—probing how a global narrative might be imagined without privileging any single geographic or cultural center. From historical analysis to contemporary debates, we ask how architecture embodies cultural values, negotiates political realities, and influences the ways we behave and perceive value within societies both symbolic and material.
